I found very little of the history of the Lambretta in Africa, apart from the list of dealers in these leaflets. Meanwhile, a few lines about the history of South Africa in English:

Lambrettas Were imported into South Africa from Italy and England. At One Time Or Another, English and Indian Lambrettas Have Also Been imported. The importation stopped and closed the main agent in Johannesburg in the 80's and there is very little by way of local support for the enthusiast. A year or 2 needle, there Seemed to be quite a Few Lambrettas available, But They Have Become very scarce of late, most HAVING Been sold back into the UK market.
