Apple has announced that this summer will be available the fourth OS version for iPhone and iPod touch in the fall and will be distributed to iPad. Meanwhile, for developers is already available in beta.
With iPhone OS 4 will be available over 100 new features including the ability to organize applications in folders and view e-mails of all accounts in a single unified box. The real novelty of the new operating system is the introduction of multi-tasking that allows to perform background tasks without compromising durability and performance battery.
4 The new OS will work with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3G, iPod touch, second and third generation iPad (in autumn). Not all new features will be compatible with any device, such multitasking is supported only by iPod touch and the iPhone 3G, third generation (late 2009 models 32GB or 64GB).
